Live music leaves the traditional confines of concert halls and clubs in Charlotte to take the "stage" at some of the city's most frequented hair boutiques as part of The Barbershop and Salon Tour. Organized by the Q.C.-based firm Y2 Management, the tour will showcase up-and-coming local artists -- such as the award-winning poet Bluz and R&B/hip-hop vocalist Quill, among others -- as they perform for patrons around town from July 24 to Aug. 28. Tone-X Celebrity Roast Party
Charlotte, N.C. (July 24, 2009) – Comedian Tone-X will be honored at a celebrity roast presented by Y Square Management. The red carpet event, which will be held Monday, August 3, 2009, at Apostrophe Lounge, is in celebration of a national comedian and his rise to the top!
Tone-X has had continued success both as an entertainer and a philanthropist. The event will be hosted by national spoken word artist, Bluz, and will feature some of Charlotte's own renowned entertainers and other notable figures from organizations such as the Carolina Panthers and Power 98 FM.

Martin Lawrence presents 1 st Amendment Stand Up
 Y Square Management and Tone X & Friends will host auditions for the hit series Martin Lawrence “1st Amendment Stand-Up” comedy show on Friday, April 24th in Charlotte and Saturday, April 25 in Raleigh, NC. The show, which airs on the Starz Network, will begin its fourth season and is looking for fresh talent.
The comedy show is held at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC and is executive produced by Martin Lawrence. Hilarious host Doug Williams will be in the building.
15 comedians will be given seven minutes to please the crowd and impress the judges. So come hard and bring your “A” game if you think you have what it takes to make it on the big stage. To attend this event you may purchase tickets at Skandalos in advance for $10 and $15 at the door.

Tone-X and Friends Comedy Show 1 st Year Anniversary
 It’s been a year of laughs, love, and live acts at the Tone X & Friends Comedy Show. Brought to you by Y Square Management hosted by Chris “Funnyman” Robinson and Tone-X, Tuesday nights have become the ultimate weekly kick-off, giving folks in the Queen City something to look forward to laughter and positive social network.
The show, which used to be held at The Comedy Zone made its comeback in 2008. Since its premiere last April, Tone X & Friends Comedy Show have had guest appearances by comedians such as Talent, Michael Blackston, TK Kirkland, Shawty Shawty from Nick Cannon Wild n Out, Pat Brown, Hope Flood, and Tyler. Now located at Skandalos every Tuesday, at 5317 East Independence Boulevard, the crowd has followed and become more than just an audience; they’re a family.
“Thanks to all the love and support shown, the QC has truly made this the people’s show,” said host Tone-X.
“How can we have a show without the people?” said Robinson. “I can’t express enough how much we appreciate their support. We have a lot of people that tell us they’re glad we brought this back.”

Days of Our Lives Star Terrell Ransom Jr. Signs on to Raise Money for Autism Speaks Charlotte, NC -- March 31, 2009
 Y2 Management client Terrell Ransom Jr. is participating in Autism Speaks signature fundraiser Walk Now for Autism on April 25, 2009 with a goal of raising 10,000 for Autism Awareness.
Ransom Jr. is best known for his award winning role as Theo, the autistic son of Abe & Lexie on the long standing soap opera series Days of Our Lives. Joining Terrell in the Walk Now fundraiser are coworkers James Reynolds and Renee Jones who play Terrell’s onscreen parents. “Because of Terrell’s ongoing role as Theo, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting children affected by Autism and they’ve forever touched our lives. 1 out of 150 children in his age group are affected. We want to do whatever we can to help these families by raising awareness and funds for research, cures and prevention” says Katrina Ransom, mother of Terrell.
The Walk Now for Autism event will be held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA and is the largest grassroots Autism awareness event. Walk Now for Autism events are held throughout the country and include entertainment, refreshments, an Autism community resource fair and more. Actor with Global Fanbase has Charlotte Ties
 Charlotte, NC -- March 31, 2009 – Terrell Ransom Jr. of Days of Our Lives fame has signed with Y2 Management -- a company which has aided in his event planning, brand marketing, and publicity. They serve as a continuous liaison between Terrell Ransom Jr. and any third party opting for services.

With his handsome face, sharp wit and bright personality he signed with agents by December 2007 and by April 2008 at the age of four, he landed a recurring role as “Theo”, the autistic son of Commissioner Abe & Dr. Lexie Carver, on the Emmy nominated NBC daytime soap opera, “Days of Our Lives”. His first television acting debut aired May 20, 2008.

Terrell Ransom and Walk Now for Autism
Terrell Ransom Jr., will participate in Walk Now for Autism in Los Angeles, California on April 25 th. The event, hosted under Autism Speaks, aims to not only raise money for further research, but to provide awareness about the disorder as well.
Ransom, a child actor, is best known for his recurring role on NBC's Days of Our Lives as autistic child "Theo Carver". Aside from earning him a 2009 Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series, this particular role has affected him deeply. Although he does not suffer from the disease, he empathizes with victims of autism; often noting that not being able to communicate with his on screen parents saddens him.
This will be Ransom’s second year participating in the walk. He is only 5, but this year his cast mates will be looking up to him as he serves as team captain. Walk Now for Autism is the one of several awareness events Ransom will participate in.

CIAA 2009 Y Square Events

The stars will be shining in Charlotte this week as the CIAA kicks the city into high gear. Look out for an array of events brought to you by Y Square Management.
Start your week off right this Tuesday with food, drinks, and laughs. Tone X and Chris Robinson host the Tone X & Friends comedy show featuring comedian Jay. The show will be held at its usual location: Skandalos, 5317 East Independence Blvd .Tickets are $15 at the door and they will go fast, so get there early!
Tone X will bring the funny one more time as he performs during the half time show at Bobcats Arena Thursday, February 26 at 1:30 PM. Then, keep the applause coming as R&B artist Jennifer Sheffield takes center stage at 3 PM. You can also see Tone X at the Convention Center, Thursday through Saturday.
Start the weekend on a ‘hype note’! Tune in to Q92, Friday, February 27 as the one and only, Mo’Nique, shows up and shows out. The Monique Show will broadcast live from the Convention Center- 3 PM to 7 PM. Then, chill with Mo’Nique at KISS Lounge for The Best of Both Worlds Party hosted by Tone-X and No Limit Larry. Alley Hoops Jam Gets Marketing Boost From Time Warner Cable

Alley Hoops Jam received a big promotional boost when Time Warner Cable of Charlotte committed its marketing muscle behind the project. “ It was a natural fit for both of us,” said Frank Hosea, Vice President of Marketing at Time Warner Cable Charlotte. “The partnership conveys an added value for our customers who will have a fast and easy way to sign-up and participate. For Alley Hoops Jam, Time Warner Cable will provide a broader distribution and marketing tool to increase participation.”
Time Warner Cable customers will receive a bill insert in their monthly bills that will offer a discount to participate in the Jam, which takes place June 17 and 18, 2006.
The Alley Hoops Jam is a 3-on-3-basketball tournament created by Kimberly Edmonds and Yolanda Webb, owners of Y2 Management, LLC. The Jam’s objective is to spur economic development and education awareness in Charlotte’s urban communities. The tournament, held on “The Square” of Uptown Charlotte, is open to anyone or any group, age eight and older.
Edmonds and Hosea have both experienced successful 3-on-3 basketball events firsthand, Hosea as participant in an annual tournament in Louisville, KY and Edmonds grew up an avid fan in Flint, MI, where 3-on-3 basketball tournaments were highly supported. “3-on-3 Tournament play in Flint was absolutely electrifying!” said Edmonds. “With Alley Hoops Jam, we hope to create a similarly energized atmosphere in uptown Charlotte, NC.” Added Edmonds, “Our aims are to rally people around this event in support of businesses and to help participants reach their highest abilities, all while giving back to the community for the civic pride of the region.”
